While the rest of New Orleans was celebrating yet another amazing Mardi Gras, the Clandestine team was busy managing not one but two milestone birthday celebrations. What follows are shots from the group we hosted from South Beach who all came to help the birthday boy, Chris, celebrate his 50th birthday in high style.

Chris’ wife went all out for this occasion. We worked with her for close to two years and it was so worth it – every detail was meticulously arranged.

Our private driver picked them up at the airport the Friday before Mardi Gras and brought them directly to the Roosevelt Hotel, which was home base for their entire group during their stay. After checking in, they all met in the Sazerac lounge for cocktails before we surprised them with their very own brass band & second line. The band brought them outside, where their police escort was waiting to take them to their private dining room at Antoine’s.

After partying into the wee hours of the morning, the ladies all met in the hostess of honors’ suite for a full day of hair & makeup in preparation for their big event that evening – attending a Mardi Gras ball at the Superdome. Based on their review, I believe the Mardi Gras ball was quite a once in a lifetime experience.

This past Mardi Gras overlapped with the Super Bowl, so for Sunday – we arranged a private balcony on Bourbon Street with open bar, catered food, a big screen TV that we rented, and all the beads they could throw down to the folks below.

On Monday, the birthday boy and his closest pals headed down to the Convention Center where they met with the Super Krewe they were accompanying on a Mardi Gras parade for Lundi Gras.

And on Fat Tuesday, while us locals were pushing through a few more hours of partying, they wearily headed back to the airport to return home…
